I'm tired—bone weary tired—of algorithms and hooks and scripts and AI generated content that is so predictable it feels downright condescending. I'm sick of striving—losing sleep at night that I have to somehow find the key to growth and sustainability. I'm irritated with the back-patting reels that are just saying what people want to hear, they all tell the same story: Growth is simple—you're just missing this one easy hack that I'll give you for a comment, for a follow, for a small fee. The system of this world is a game, and I'm kind of over playing by its rules. Don't you feel it? The longing for something more—the longing for authenticity? Can't you see past the generated scripts and sales strategies? If you didn't know it, making money is not easy, there isn't a magic potion to success, and God actually has a plan and purpose for you that is bigger than just scraping by or having a lot of money in your bank account. The scripts are saturating the internet and the world is slowly becoming more and more fake and surface-y. It infiltrates our businesses and practices. It silently takes root in our parenting and homeschools. We strive and strive and strive . . . running after something that wasn't real to begin with. Time Is Short I feel it, you guys. A constant rhythm to my days, an underlying urgency, a longing in my heart that I cannot express: He's coming. When we live with this in mind, it changes things. We see past the smoke screen of distractions and empty promises. We stop chasing after the world's definition of success and start pursuing what is eternal and lasting. As my kids graduate one by one, I am convinced more than ever that one. thing. matters. most. For our kids to be on fire. To love Him and seek Him. To taste and see, that their faith may be their own. What aim is higher than that? What is the point of refined grammar and solid essay writing if their foundation crumbles? We have young people facing suicidal ideations, depression, massive deception, identity crises, and more. We focus on educating their brains and are losing their hearts! But the enemy doesn't want us to think about this. He wants us so busy chasing after knowledge that we become consumed with it. We chase it in our businesses, our homes, our homeschools, our parenting. We consume reels and posts, seeking for the hidden key to breakthrough . . . something that is only found in the secret place with the One who holds not a general key, but a specific key for you. Someone needs to hear the alarm bells that are sounding. Wake up! Fill your lamps with oil (something that cannot be shared or transferred). Get ready . . . and don't lose sight of the prize. It's so much bigger than a GPA or memorizing Latin vocabulary. Oh yeah . . . I guess we launched some thingsI don't want this to be an email about our newest releases, so I'll just link some news and updates on the bottom here for those who are looking for it. Take it or leave it ;) |

Good morning! I know things have been a bit quiet lately. We've been hard at work behind the scenes on some pretty big things. Some of these projects we're not leaking until later, but I do have some updates I can officially give you. 1. ESA Scholarships now available! Big news for homeschool families using state scholarship and ESA funds: you can now use those funds with Gather 'Round in more states than ever. You guys have been asking for this for some time. It has taken some work and we're...
Hey guys, I hope you have been getting a chance to enjoy your summer. We typically just work through the whole thing, but we've had a bit of a staycation with family so I was able to soak in a little break from recording math videos with puppets (have you seen the blooper yet?). I wanted to pop into your inbox with a few polls as we vision cast and plan out our future. If you've been here for a bit, you will know that one of the unique aspects of Gather 'Round is the fact that you get to be a...
Is what I'm doing enough? Let's take a moment for a little disclaimer lest this is taken out of context and someone accuses me of a works-based salvation doctrine—something I am emphatically not saying. I am not asking this question about salvation, but rather about my focus and priorities. As a homeschooler, my "enough" gauge is all about what and how much, baselines and improvements. As a mom, it is about connection and discipline, my children's character and the peace in our home. As a...
