In this case, quiet means something good

Good morning!

I know things have been a bit quiet lately. We've been hard at work behind the scenes on some pretty big things. Some of these projects we're not leaking until later, but I do have some updates I can officially give you.

1. ESA Scholarships now available!

Big news for homeschool families using state scholarship and ESA funds: you can now use those funds with Gather 'Round in more states than ever. You guys have been asking for this for some time. It has taken some work and we're still figuring it all out, but here is the update of where we are at.

Buy today and claim it back: West Virginia Hope Scholarship (submit your itemized receipt within 90 days), Arizona ESA, Florida PEP for currently enrolled Step Up families, New Hampshire Education Freedom Account, and Idaho families may be able to claim the Parental Choice Tax Credit on curriculum at tax time.

Direct pay to Gather 'Round: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. With these states, you can place an order on our site and select: Use ESA for payment method. You'll want to enter the student's name and then submit the email you get to Classwallet. We'll then fulfill your order as soon as payment is settled . . . with no middle man!

Every program has its own rules, and eligibility varies by family, so confirm with your program administrator. See how it all works below!

2. School is on me this week . . .

Have you been wanting to give the Academy a try but are unsure? Come and dip your toes in with our free 1-week trial of Insider. Get the experience of how the Academy works, access to our live class, plus ALL of our on-demand courses, including Ready to Read and Math! Come and see what everyone is talking about and why it’s making a difference for new and seasoned homeschoolers. Check out the Academy Insider free trial or learn more about what the Academy Insider is here! There are limited quantities available, but new spots for the trial open up daily, so make sure to subscribe to be notified when there are some more back in stock.

3. Are you ready for some new launches?

Home Medicine is coming, but I'm going to be sharing a full update on that on Thursday because it really deserves it's own time to shine. For now, we have a new Fifty State unit available as well as a new math unit—Decimals! This Modular Math unit builds a strong understanding of decimals through real-world applications like money and measurement while developing skills in place value, comparing, ordering, and operations. Check them out below . . .

Hey guys, I hope you have been getting a chance to enjoy your summer. We typically just work through the whole thing, but we've had a bit of a staycation with family so I was able to soak in a little break from recording math videos with puppets (have you seen the blooper yet?). I wanted to pop into your inbox with a few polls as we vision cast and plan out our future. If you've been here for a bit, you will know that one of the unique aspects of Gather 'Round is the fact that you get to be a...

Is what I'm doing enough? Let's take a moment for a little disclaimer lest this is taken out of context and someone accuses me of a works-based salvation doctrine—something I am emphatically not saying. I am not asking this question about salvation, but rather about my focus and priorities. As a homeschooler, my "enough" gauge is all about what and how much, baselines and improvements. As a mom, it is about connection and discipline, my children's character and the peace in our home. As a...

Alright, lets talk. This past weekend, Jonathan and I took our teens and some of their friends to a youth conference in Atlanta (if you don't follow me on socials, go check out some footage we got here). All I can say is, this generation is hungry. They worshipped, they wept, they prayed for one another . . . they were there for it. I have been getting asked, "In just a short conference, is there really any change that will come from it?" I get it, the big flashy conferences with all the hype...
