A Mother's Day Special!

Happy Mother's Day!

I don't know what it is, but my whole life I have been particularly struck by Luke 2:19, "But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart." How often do we take the time to notice the treasures all around us? Or pause to ponder and reflect? I don't know about you, but if I'm not super intentional about "stopping to smell the roses", I can completely forget they are there. Enter the purpose of this email.

I wanted to create something in honor of moms and I was brainstorming what would be the most meaningful. I considered a card printable so our kids could make us cards, bookmarks, poetry, or even a little devotional . . . but what I feel I would personally want the most is something to help me be more intentional about capturing the moments and creating a memory log for the year. So we made it!

Meet Gathered Memories, a PDF journal with space for each of the 365 days of the year (undated for people like me who will probably use it in fits and bursts). This digital resource can be instantly downloaded and used today! It has scripture encouragement, a list of prompts and challenges if you get stuck, and is the perfect way to focus on thankfulness. Snag your copy for only $2.95 USD and start now!

Regardless of how "well" your family does this Mother's Day of recognizing you (or even if they do at all), don't let it be how you gauge your worth. Sometimes I think women need one another to gather around us and remind us that we are doing the good work, that this matters, and to keep on going! May you experience the peace that surpasses all understand, joy that will carry you on, and may you take the time to see the little treasures. HE sees you, and that is all that really matters.

Keep calm and homeschool/parent on my friend!

Sincerely,

Rebecca Spooner

Happy allergy season! Am I the only one sniffing and itching my way through April? It's been a rough month down here in Georgia. Everything seemed to wake up in a flurry: the plants bloomed, the grass turned green, the bugs exploded, and the chimney swifts returned. While it was an interesting experience last year, it was a long season of our lives with very little sleep so I have spent my days clanging in my chimney to avoid them making nests and finally getting a cap installed.
