Happy allergy season!

Am I the only one sniffing and itching my way through April? It's been a rough month down here in Georgia. Everything seemed to wake up in a flurry: the plants bloomed, the grass turned green, the bugs exploded, and the chimney swifts returned. While it was an interesting experience last year, it was a long season of our lives with very little sleep so I have spent my days clanging in my chimney to avoid them making nests and finally getting a cap installed. Hello spring. (Because we're homeschoolers, here's a video of my life last year—all day—all night. My room is on the other side of those bricks.)

I'm Going Live!

Today on the Gather 'Round show, I'm going live with my 13-year-old daughter, Aliyah, and we are hoping your kids will join us. This is your time to ask questions and get firsthand accounts and it should be a lot of fun. I will be live on Facebook as well as on the new app (our old one is currently in the process of being deconstructed and removed).

Registration is OPEN for our Online Retreat

I've put together our event page (the past week I've been wearing my web building hat) and I can't wait to share it with you! It's been a while since we had an online event, and I can tell you that they are incredibly special. The main sessions will have printable session notes for you to use, we have worship, encouragement, and all sorts of great things planned!

How to get the recordings FREE

Members of the Village (our private community on the app) get the recordings from this event for free. It won't be video, and it won't be the same as joining us live with all the interaction, but it is something we are offering as part of the exclusive podcast experience over there and I wanted to make sure you knew about it.

The Village is an area in our app with group functionality where you can build a community of like-minded people who share your values and goals for homeschooling. There will be exclusive podcasts and content, and we have a dedicated staff member who is posting beautiful challenges to motivate and inspire us to make this our best year ever.

In the beginning, it was priced to include a co-op, but as that isn't starting until fall, we have significantly dropped the prices and will do that as a separate option for those who want it. We hope this makes it affordable for all. Check out the free trial to see for yourself what our vision is. But our vision won't be possible without you! I hope to see you there.

I have so much to share, but I'm trying to pace myself so I don't overwhelm you. We have a ton of new resources we've been working on, a major website revamp, and more. I'll be talking more about it in our live next week, so make sure to mark your calendars if you want a "tell-all" of what is going on behind the scenes.

Until then,

Happy Mother's Day! I don't know what it is, but my whole life I have been particularly struck by Luke 2:19, "But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart." How often do we take the time to notice the treasures all around us? Or pause to ponder and reflect? I don't know about you, but if I'm not super intentional about "stopping to smell the roses", I can completely forget they are there. It's Here!I originally wasn't planning on doing a catalog for this year. We spent a ton of time just going through our old one and tweaking things. But you know me . . . if it's not new, it's not fun. As we redid our website, we decided we wanted to simplify this whole process for everyone and so we went back to the drawing board and started over. Check out some of the features below: A spreadsheet of quick facts about each unit Separate sections for Full Units and Mini Units Info about our...
