Sign your kids up for a live class experience!

What if you could have a break from teaching without losing any time with your kids?

If you haven’t heard, we just released two brand new live classes to our winter schedule—taught by me, myself, and I (and some special guests). If you haven’t tried the Academy before, now is the perfect time to jump in and get your feet wet to see how you like it. There are polls, quizzes, slides, chats, videos, and so much more—creating a community feel right from the comfort of your living room couch!

Our first live class will be our new Winter Games unit. This four-lesson mini unit will be taught live by me, with Jonathan joining me as a special guest. Together, we will share videos, resources, interactive elements, and live chat throughout the week.

Students will not have their cameras or microphones on, making this a viewing and engagement-only webinar experience from our home to yours. The perfect lead up to the Olympics (which start this Friday), you will have access to the replays for a week following class so that you can participate no matter what your schedule looks like this week.

Winter Games will run February 2–5 from 1:00–2:00 PM EST, with only 500 spots available, for $30.00 (plus books). You can also check out a detailed flip-through of Winter Games here.

Want Even More Live Classes?

We are also offering our Valentine’s Day mini unit live the following week. This three-lesson class will be taught live by Rebecca, with a possible special guest joining her along the way.

Students will participate through live chat and interactive elements such as videos, polls, and quizzes, while watching the lessons together. As with Winter Games, student cameras and microphones will be turned off, making this a viewing-only webinar experience.

The Valentine’s Day live class will run February 10–12 from 1:00–2:00 PM EST, with only 500 spots available, for $25.00 (plus books).

As an bonus, our Valentine’s Day unit is currently on a huge discount (ends in only a few days), making this the perfect time to grab your books, digital or print, to go along with the class.

I am so excited to jump into these units with everyone and show you how amazing our online school experience can be. Spots are filling up fast so if you're planning to join, snag your seat today!

Hope to see you there . . .

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my old reviewing days because for years, I would receive homeschool curriculum and do comparison overviews and I really thought I was helping. But the more I’ve stepped back from that, the more I’ve realized something I didn’t expect . . . I think it was actually making things harder. Instead of helping people be confident in their choices, I was showing a million different options like sauntering down the aisles of Wal-mart. It kept us searching for...

Build confidence with multiplication

This brand new unit in Modular Math is all about building a strong, confident understanding of multiplication, starting from the very beginning and growing with your student every step of the way. Students begin by learning multiplication as repeated addition and building equal groups. From there, they move into arrays, number lines, and multiplication facts, giving them a solid foundation that actually makes sense. As students move up, they’ll explore multiplication with decimals, integers,...

It all ends tonight . . . Over the last couple of days, I've seen how excited families are once they open up their Legacy Pass and see what it actually means. I can't help but be struck by fact that this is about so much more than curriculum. This is a movement of families who are looking for more than "information stuffing". We are looking for conversations, understanding, and a generation of young people who can think for themselves and lead us to wisdom. A few years back, I was asked to...
