Wisdom is crying out

Over the last couple of days, I've seen how excited families are once they open up their Legacy Pass and see what it actually means. I can't help but be struck by fact that this is about so much more than curriculum. This is a movement of families who are looking for more than "information stuffing". We are looking for conversations, understanding, and a generation of young people who can think for themselves and lead us to wisdom.

A few years back, I was asked to give a little "Ted Talk style" talk to introduce families to either who I was or what i would be talking about leading into a convention. After much prayer, I felt that rather than pointing to me or even my sessions, I was to speak on something different.

Wisdom cries aloud in the street,
in the markets she raises her voice;
at the head of the noisy streets she cries out;
at the entrance of the city gates she speaks
—Proverbs 1:20–21

The reality is, wisdom is crying out and no one is listening. Traditional educational models (whether that be in the school system or at home) is not teaching wisdom, it is teaching facts. It isn't provoking discussion and raising leaders, it's raising up followers. The heart of Gather 'Round is not just to be another curriculum option, it is a community of families with shared values who are saying, "I reject the status quo . . . I'm aiming higher."

This is why people are so excited about the Legacy Pass

It is giving families a tool not just for today, but for the lifetime of their homeschool journey. That being said, we get that it is a huge amount of money to dump on one purchase. Tonight, I'll be going live at 9pm EST to show you behind-the-scenes so you can see everything that is included in this purchase. But I wanted to share one perspective from a homeschool mom of 6 and the perspective shift that made them take the leap.

For our family of six kids (from 5 to 15 years old), we did the math. My husband needed to see something concrete (anyone else?). If we took all the years we would be homeschooling multiplied by all our children, it would end up only costing $13 per year per kid to homeschool each child all the way to high school. Once my husband heard that, it was a no-brainer. We weren't just buying access to curriculum, we were buying homeschool peace, security, and even financial freedom.

When you look at it like that, it kind of changes everything.

It’s not buying curriculum year after year, or wondering if you picked the right thing, or feeling stuck if something isn’t working. You just have it there, ready when you need it, with the flexibility to adjust levels, switch units, or follow where your kids are at.

My purpose in emailing you about this (again) is not to pressure you. We are not FOMO people over here. In fact, I will do a "marketing no-no" and say DON'T buy this if you don't feel peace, or even if your husband is not convinced. We have free samples on our site, we have our Back to School sale coming up, and even if you don't get the Legacy Pass, our curriculum is affordable because of the family-style nature of it. My purpose in emailing is to make sure that no one misses out on this incredible deal. This is 100% the cheapest way to get homeschool curriculum for your family. And if only one more person is able to take advantage, then it was worth it!

I'll be in your inbox one more time tonight for a final reminder and then I'll give your inbox some rest and go back to our regular weekly news and updates. Don't forget that I’ll be going live again tonight (save your spot here) to answer any last minute questions, so if you’re feeling that pull to make a decision, I’d really encourage you to join us. Come ask your questions and see if it’s the right fit for your family. Otherwise, snag a free sample and try this out with your family and we'll see you next week right here in your inbox!

Hi Reader, My name is Hannah, a homeschool mom of five (soon to be six!). Our family began our homeschool journey 4 years ago, with our eldest daughter entering kindergarten. We live in rural northern Alberta, Canada and are a first generation farming family. When we originally started out with our homeschool, each year I would begin by doing so much research - looking for curriculum that would fit our family, and it was always such a big job. I always wondering if I would like the curriculum...
