Are you ready for your next adventure? We’re hitting the road again and this time our journey takes us to Illinois. In this new Fifty States mini unit, students will explore a state where endless prairies meet busy towns, small rivers wind through farmland, and communities are shaped by big ideas, vibrant culture, and opportunity. From wide open spaces to bustling cities, every corner of Illinois has a story to tell. As you work through this unit together, you’ll see how geography, history, and people all connect to shape everyday life in this diverse state. It’s a good reminder that adventure isn’t only found in famous landmarks, but in the places where families live, work, and grow. Like all of our Fifty States units, the Illinois unit is designed to be completed in just 4 days and covers all your subjects (just add math, which you can check out here). It’s created to work for all ages and to keep learning connected, meaningful, and doable for the whole family.
