Hey guys! If you missed yesterday’s live, we had a few updates. Not only did our Back to School sale start, but I also mentioned that our new mini unit, Beekeeping, would be launching, and we are so excited about this one. When we decided to do a unit on beekeeping, we had a bit of a crazy idea to actually get bees and go along the journey as we created it. We had to figure out where to get our bees and our hives, and Jonathan even took training courses to learn how to properly care for them, and that’s really where our new adventure into beekeeping began. Throughout the creation of this unit, we’ve been gathering behind-the-scenes footage so you guys can actually see the bees (and Jonathan) in action, which makes this one feel really special as you go through it. Throughout the unit, your students will learn how a hive works, how honey is actually made, and why bees are so important to our world. It’s broken into three levels plus a Teacher’s Guide, with Level 1 for pre-readers to early readers, Level 2 for early to upper elementary, and Level 3 for middle and high school, so it’s easy to use with the whole family. If you’re curious about bees or have always wondered about those little buzzing bugs, this unit is such a fun adventure to go through together. It’s 12 lessons long and filled with hands-on learning and so many fun facts. Did you know that if you add honey to water, it forms a honeycomb pattern? I definitely didn’t know that.
