We have a lot happening over here at Gather 'Round. If you haven't heard, we started an online academy, and we are about half way through our first unit: Astronomy. So far, things have been out of this world (too much?). The lessons take about an hour, the replays are posted in case you miss it, and students are motivated and inspired to get their work done and connect with other kids their age. We're always trying to find ways to make learning come to life and have a real impact, and so we couldn't turn up the opportunity to bring a real live astronaut as a special guest . . . exclusive to our academy students. The good news is, it's not too late to join! If you join now, you'll be able to watch the replays or just hop in now (full schedule posted here). The replays will be available for another 4 weeks (3 more weeks of class and one week after it ends) so you'll have time to catch up if needed. That's not all the news! Our team is burning the midnight oil to keep up with our Fifty States series and our brand new math series fro Kindergarten through Grade 9. Math will be launching next week and you won't want to miss the first unit in the series! Number Sense builds the foundation for all math operations and a new unit will be released every 5 weeks, letting you follow along with us for a complete math curriculum, or allowing you to tailor-make your own unique math solution.
Lastly, we have just launched California, the fifth unit in our Fifty States series. This one-week mini operates a bit like a full unit: with five pages per day and covering all your subjects for all your students (K-12) other than math. If you haven't given our units a try in a while, snag one of these and see what's new. There's been a lot of changes to our style and approach that we know are going to make this series a winner.
